In 1996, I joined the health insurance industry as part of my family’s business. I immediately recognized that most health insurance agents treated all their clients the same, as a paycheck. As a Hispanic male raised in a culture that treasures family, I was taught to treat others as I would treat my own mother, with respect and appreciation.
